The photographs by Mark Arends  breath his interest in people’s layered personalities and the transience of the human body. Mastering both digital and analog techniques, he converts character and emotion into colorful, surreal images of high contrast. 

Mark Arends completed the Nederlandse Fotovakschool in 2008, after which he became a professional commissioned  photographer. With the knowledge he gathered over the years he started to express his artistic view, making images and series in the studio and on location.
