True Colors

The series “True Colors” is made to reflect my vision on digital society. A look on Social Media shows that almost everybody seems to have a fantastic life, full of joy and pleasure and love. At the same time there is an epidemic number of people who are lonely, unhappy or depressed. I believe we live in a world of extremes. 

These portraits show the layering of that digital society. The explosive, vibrant and smashing colors on the skin’s surface, reflects what people want you to see. Who they really are is often hidden inside. The closed eyes are a metaphor for vulnerability. Maybe you don’t even reveal that to yourself.
